Hey ya'll, my name is Akeene and I am a digital artist. I was born and raised in West Tennessee, so I am definitely a southern belle at heart. Visual communication is my thang'. But I would like to say I am more than design. Growing up in the South, I learned early on that I was different and unique. I didn't cater to my unique style until later on in life. In 2012, I took an interest in graphic design. From the beginning, I was self-taught. My curiosity for graphics led to web design and my interest in web design led to digital media.
Within the recent years, I took courses to develop my skills in graphic and web design. I gained my passion and drive from The University of Memphis. My experience there has led me to challenge myself in many ways. At this moment in my life, I believe that my role as an artist is to stay focused on finding ways to communicate effectively with others and collaborate on ways to build a strong community. Grit and grind is a motto I truly abide by and to hustle, is a must.

Created and designed web sites for clientele. Sketched and designed logo, graphic art, and promotional material. Assisted during client consultations and demo presentations.
Provided front line customer service support at the Genius Bar, including hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnosis. Led and taught customer "one to one" personal projects. Repaired and triaged Apple hardware and software.
Ensured that each customer received outstanding service by providing a friendly environment. Assisted floor sales. Managed dressing room and assisted with seasonal visuals.
